Bridging the Gap in Knee Support

Current options force people to choose between passive home braces with no active support, or expensive clinic-based equipment they can't access daily.

Passive Braces
Basic stabilization only. No active support. No monitoring. No data. $300–800 with limited active support.
Clinical Equipment
Advanced options but require facilities, supervision, and $30,000+ installations. Inaccessible for daily use.

How GAPR Works

One core mechanical system powers the current device. Sensor, AI, and app features are in active development for future versions.

Controlled Joint Separation
Target design specification: 5–50 Newton separation force range, with sub-Newton adjustability. (Engineering goal for final product; prototype testing ongoing.) Designed to create gentle space within the knee joint during natural movement and exercise.

Safety note: Not for use with recent knee surgery, acute injury, blood clots, or circulatory/nerve conditions. Review full contraindications.

Planned features — not available in current prototype. These capabilities are in development for future versions of GAPR.
AI Movement Coaching
Machine learning algorithms to automatically identify exercises and provide movement feedback in real-time based on activity patterns.
Multi-Modal Sensing
Sensor fusion combining pressure mapping, motion tracking, and thermal monitoring. Target sampling rate: 50–100Hz (engineering goal for future hardware).
Targeted Heating
Localized warmth with automated temperature control and safety monitoring for enhanced comfort and circulation. When available: will include automatic shutoff. Not for use by individuals with reduced skin sensation or circulation impairment.
Smart Mobile App
Companion app for real-time feedback, usage tracking, and personalized programs tailored to each user's goals and activity level.
Adaptive Vibration
Multi-pattern vibration motors for customizable feedback coordinated with activity and heating for a comprehensive wellness experience.
